MILAN - The dried fruit oil, from "threat" to the line in recent years has become a valuable ally for our health, because in several studies it was found that protects the heart. In this study, 50 adults with moderately elevated cholesterol levels, were asked to consume, instead of other snacks for periods of 4 weeks, interspersed with 2 suspension, 30 grams of hazelnuts (about 15-20) to days in three different forms (whole, in slivers or chopped). Regardless of the form of recruitment, the nuts have reduced LDL ("bad") by an average of 5%, increased HDL ("good") and the levels of vitamin E (by almost 5%), improving the profile cardiovascular risk.
